Submission Guidelines for Content
It take work to prepare your business' materials for the Web pages we will construct for you. You supply the raw materials and we assemble them onto graphically pleasing, easy-to-read Web pages.
Text
- We prefer Microsoft Word, WordPad, or notepad.
- However we will accept others. Just paste your text into an email.
- Please do not send us a draft of your text. Send us your final version.
- Get ideas for what content to include by reading - Planning Guide and Content-Content-Content
Graphics
- Our contract includes a statement that you own the copyright to, or have permission from the copyright owner to use any photos or graphics you send us.
- The quality appearance of your Web site has a lot to do based on the photos or graphics you choose for your Web pages. Clipart can be used, but tends to make the pages look amateurish. Photos are probably best.
- You may send graphics to us in either digitized form or hard copy photos which we will scan. Please note if they are to be placed on a particular page or with specific content. Do not embed them in a Word document or an email. Send them as attachments. Photos can be sent in any popular format, such as GIF, JPEG, BMP, EPS, CDR, PCX, etc.
- If you need us to prepare specialized graphic elements in addition to our custom site graphics package, please explain clearly, and perhaps include a sketch. We charge for such items on an hourly basis.
- You may select stock photos from your pages from various resources. Please discuss options with us as copyright and cost are factors to consider from these types o sites.
- Our price quotes are based on an average of 2-3 photos or graphics per page. Beyond that we charge an additional fee for placing photos.
- Samples of your printed materials - brochures, letterheads, cards, booklets, etc. - so we can see how you present your company image.
- Any specific color or font information you may have available from another source or designer.
For an extra charge, we can equip your website with:
- Photo enlargements or thumbnails.
- Slideshows of your photos
- Sound, either MIDI musical background or streaming Real Audio for music or voice.
- Animated GIF images.
- Flash Animations
- Video clips
- Online Catalog with descriptions and photos
